The R.V. Ba Nyar Latt “Delta Queen” cruises overnight from Yangon to Pathein three times per week. The trip is sold in conjunction with hotel accommodation at the new beach resort destination Ngwe Saung. Once in Pathein passengers are transferred to Ngwe Saung by air conditioned coach one and a half hours away.The steel hulled vessel is 148 ft. long with a beam of 28 ft and a draft of 5 ft. Purpose built for plying the waters in the Delta region of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy (Irrawaddy) River. With three decks consisting of 14 comfortable air-conditioned cabins with share shower and toilet facilities. There are 2 double cabins and 12 twin cabins.The covered dining area is situated on the mid deck in the aft section of the vessel. The Captains Bar and Sundeck are on the upper deck and provide the perfect spot for reclining on a sun lounge, sipping on a long cool cocktail or just passing the time of day as untouched Myanmar passes by.
The Irrawaddy Delta itself is a vast basin stretching from the coast of the Bay of Bengal across to the Bago Range. It receives year round drainage from several major rivers, including the Ayeyarwaddy, (Irrawaddy) Bago, Yangon (Hlaing) and Pathein (Ngawun) rivers. Inter cut with narrower canals, streams and tributaries, this riverine network irrigates millions of hectares of farmland, making the delta the central ‘rice bowl’ of Myanmar. Estuarine environments along the coast provide much of the country’s saltwater and freshwater fish harvest. Naturally abundant the Delta is heavily populated with towns and villages to be found through out.
Ngwe Saung Beach is 24 km long, situated on the west coast of Myanmar in the Bay of Bengal invites you to swim, surf, snorkel and relax under palm trees fringing the various seaside resorts. You can visit small fishing villages and local markets, explore the countryside by bicycle or enjoy a boat trip to the magnificent offshore islands. Delta Queen is 148 ft. long with a bean of 28 ft. The vessel draws 5 ft of water and has been specifically designed for plying the waters in the Delta Region of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy (Irrawaddy) River of Myanmar.

The Captains Lounge is situated on the middle deck, over the bow section of the ship and offers an ideal air-conditioned area for viewing life on the river while perhaps enjoying a refreshing drink.
