The Myanmar Gems Museum situates on Kaba Aye Pagoda Road. Among the precious gems displayed in the Museum, there are two precious stones of prime quality, mined from Phakant gemland in Kachin State, which contain a liquid core.The Myanmar Gems Mart holds the jade and gems regularly. For instance, in 2004, Jade and Gems Special Sales took place during the month of June and commercial utility and imperial jade blocks and gem lots were sold. Over four hundred gem merchants of over 150 foreign companies visited the gem sale and bought jade and gems. Local gem merchants from over one hundred local companies also took part the gold. Jade lots are sold through tender and competitive bidding system. On the top floor of the Myanmar Gems Mart, jade Buddha image, gems lots, fine quality commercial jade lotswere displayed and sold.
