It is situatedin Pindaya town which is about 50 km north-east of kalaw. It is also one of the 5-days market. If you visit on market day, you will see the tribal people with colorful dress such as Pa-O, Pa-Lung, Danu and Taung-Yoe live in the mountain ranges. They can't come to the market every day, so they only come on five day market. The market starts about 8 o'clock in the morning and finish about 11 o'clock. In winter (especially December and January), they starts a little bit later than as usual, because of the cold weather as it is located at an altitude of about 1300 meters. On market day, the tribes gather at Kalaw, to sell and buy, various kinds of fresh vegetables, fruits, traditional handicrafts, and other local products. When they carry their products in the baskets on their back. As they live in the mountain ranges, they come down to Kalaw on foot by carrying their products in the baskets on their back. In some village, it is possible to come with the bullock-carts. In the market, you can also taste about traditional food, Shan noodles and other products. Other interesting things to see for the tourists is traditional handicrafts and some souvenir shops.That is why, if you visit to Pindaya market, you will refresh your mind to seeing the ways of lives of Sahn tribes, after you have seen several historical sites. And also you will get some Knowledge about different tribes, in one time so that you can distinguish yourself what tribes they are.
