Overview: 3 Days up and down hill trekking tour start from Kalaw and end in Khaung Dai Village located on the western bank of Lake Inle. Starting In: Kalaw
Distance & duration of Trek: 60 km - 24-26 hours in 3 Days
Early morning start your 3 days trekking trip. The road and trail goes through beautiful scenery. On the way visit the villages of Palaung, Danu, Pa-oh and Taung Yoe. Your local station tour guide Ko Paul will introduce you to the villagers and will show you the traditional ways of life. Lunch in Kampani a Danu village. The path goes up and down. Native along the way do the plantation for Tea leaves, Coffee, Cordial leaves, Mustard, Ginger, Malt Rice, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Sesame Late afternoon you will arrive to Shabin a typical Danu Village with 12th Century old wooden monastery. Dinner and overnight at Shabin monastery.
After you breakfast at the monastery continue your trekking trip. It is about 7 hours trekking. The people in this area grow fruits; Avogadro, Banana, Oranges, Jack fruits, Papaya. You will have the chance to see the crab apple trees along the way together with some shady Banyan trees. Lunch at Pawke Pa-oh village. After lunch you have to walk for another 3 ½ hours to Teetain a typical Pa-oh village. Native along this way do the plantation especially for Ginger. Dinner and overnight at Teetain monastery.
Day-03: Teetain - Thandaung - Inle - Khaung Dai (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast continue the 5 hours trekking trip to the shore of the Inle lake. The trail goes through beautiful scenery of Bamboo forest. The natives of Pa-oh, Taung Yoe and Intha along the way grow fruits, Banana, Papaya, Potato and Beans. Lunch at lower Thandaung village. After lunch drive by boat to Ywa Ma.
Visa: A valid visa is required to enter Myanmar for all the nationalities. Visa can be apply at the Myanmar Embassies in abroad All the tourist visas are valid for 28 days and cost avrage of USD 20. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from Myanmar.
For those who live in the places and countries where the Myanmar Embassies or Consulates are not located, we are able to help you get the pre-approval letter for visa on arrival if you buy the tour services from us. For pre-approval visa it will take about minimum 30 days. After we get the pre-approval letter will email to you with attached file then show this letter to your airline for boarding pass. Visa fee is USD 20 which has to pay directly to Yangon airport immigration and one of our staff will meet and assist you at the airport on arrival.
Things to bring: Light clothes, slippers (please note that you have to take off your shoes at all the pagodas and temples in Myanmar when you enter the compound) and the medicines that you usually take for your health.
