Saturday: Yangon-Bagan (Mount Popa)
Morning domestic flight from Yangon to Bagan. On arrival, transfer to the Road To Mandalay berthed on the Ayeyarwady River. In the afternoon take an excursion to Mount Popa, believed to be the sacred home of the Nats and is now a national park. On top of a rocky crag is a picturesque complex of monasteries, pagodas and shrines, which you can climb to via a winding, covered walkway. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.
Sunday: Bagan
After breakfast join the guide to explore some of Bagan’s local markets selling wood carvings, fabrics, longis and rattan goods. See Myanmar’s famous lacquerware being made with an opportunity to purchase from a large selection of traditional and modern pieces. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this enchanting area on your own. In the afternoon the ship sets sail for Mandalay. On board the guide lectures on the Ayeyarwady River. The ship anchors mid-river for the evening and provides a marvellous opportunity to observe the stars and galaxies usually obscured in more populated areas. Dinner and overnight on board.

Monday: Bagan-Mandalay
Arrive at the quaint little village of Shwe Kyet Yet after lunch. Enjoy an afternoon excursion to Ava, the capital of a Burmese Kingdom for nearly 500 years. Sights include the magnificent wooden Bagaya Kyaung Monastery and the Nanmyin Watchtower. Return to the ship for dinner and entertainment in the evening.
Tuesday: Mandalay (Maymyo)
A full day’s excursion to Maymyo, a colonial hill station set high in the mountains. Soak up the atmosphere with its cool climate, English style houses, colourful market and beautiful botanic gardens. A typical Shan lunch is taken at a colonial house. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.
Wednesday: Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay
After breakfast take a cruise to Mingun. Visit the most important sights such as the pretty Hsinbyume Pagoda and the world’s largest uncracked bell. Return by ferry for a late lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay regarded as the centre of Burmese culture and Buddhist learning. Return to Road To Mandalay stopping enroute to admire sunset over the river. Dinner and local entertainment on board.
Thursday: Mandalay-Sagaing-Bagan
In the morning, visit the Sagaing Hills, considered to be the living centre of the Buddhist faith in Burma. Sagaing is also famous for its silver and silversmiths who still work in much the same way as their ancestors did. Return to the ship for lunch and set sail for Bagan once more. Relax on the top deck and watch the fascinating river life glide by. Dinner and local entertainment on board in the evening.
Friday: Bagan
Arrive mid morning into Bagan where over 2,000 temples and pagodas remain on an awe-inspiring plain beside the river. Your guide will introduce you to some of Bagan’s significant pagodas. After lunch on board , visit the local village and more of these fascinating temples. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore the area on your own. Late afternoon your guide takes you to watch the breathtaking vista of the sun setting over the plain. Dinner and local entertainment in the evening.
Saturday: Bagan-Yangon
After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Yangon.

PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS
For reservations made more than 60 days prior to travel, a 15 % deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is due 55 days prior to travel.
All reservations made less than 55 days to travel must be paid in full at the time of booking.

| Trip Requirements |

Visa: A Valid visa is required to enter Myanmar for all the nationalities. Visa can be apply at the Myanmar Embassies in abroad All the tourist visas are valid for 28 days and cost avrage of USD 20. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from Myanmar. Pre-arranged visa on arrival could be arranged by Myanmar Tourex & take 14 working days to get the approval. Once we get the approval, we will send the copy by fax to clients as well as to the airline ground office to able for the client to get boarding pass. The visa fee is USD 20 and our service charge is USD5 per person.
Things to bring: Light clothes, slippers (please note that you have to take off your shoes at all the pagodas and temples in Myanmar when you enter the compound) and the medicines that you usually take for your health.
Health Precausion: Conditions in Yangon, Mandalay and Bagan are comparable to those in other parts of South East Asia. It is recommended that you contact your medical practitioner or travel specialist for advice on health preparations and requirements.
The ship carries a doctor on board. A small fee is charged for medical services and prescriptions.
Cabin luggage: When you plan your packing, please bear in mind that all luggage must be stored in your cabin. In each cabin there is a wardrobe with hangers.
Please note that there are no facilities available for storage of luggage not required during your cruise.
We suggest that you make arrangements to store excess baggage at your Bangkok hotel. Alternatively, passengers who are travelling via a Yangon hotel to and from the Road To Mandalay, may like to use storage facilities, if available, at their hotel.
Insurance: Clients should take out medical and travel insurance.
Direction to meeting point: A representative will meet you at the Yangon International Airport at arrival lounge holding a sign board under Myanmar Tourex with your name on it.
