Day 01 - Saturday: Yangon-Bagan

Morning domestic flight with Air Mandalay from Yangon to Bagan. On arrival, transfer to the Road To Mandalay berthed on the Ayeyarwady River. Bagan is the most amazing sight in Burma where over 2,000 temples and pagodas remain on this awe-inspiring plain. After lunch, join the guide and visit the inside of some of Bagan s more significant pagodas. Late afternoon your guide takes you to watch the breathtaking vista of the sun setting over the plain. Dinner and local entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 02 - Sunday: Bagan-Mandalay

After breakfast a guided tour introduces you to Bagan’s most important temples and the local market. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this fascinating area on your own.  Mid-morning the Road To Mandalay begins its cruise north towards Mandalay .  Settle back in a comfortable chair on the top deck and watch the fascinating river life glide by.  An on board guide lectures on local places and customs. The ship moors mid-river for the evening.  Dinner and local entertainment.  Overnight on board.

Day 03 - Monday: Mandalay

Arrive at the quaint little village of Shwe Kyet Yet after lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay regarded as the centre of Burmese culture and Buddhist learning. Return to Road To Mandalay stopping enroute to admire sunset over the river. Dinner and local entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 04 - Tuesday: Mandalay

After breakfast, cruise to Mingun. Visit the most important sights such as the pretty Hsinbyume Pagoda and the world’s largest uncracked bell.  Return by ferry for a late lunch.  In the afternoon, visit the Sagaing Hills, considered to be the living centre of the Buddhist faith in Burma.  Sagaing is also famous for its silver and silversmiths who still work in much the same way as their ancestors did. Dinner and local entertainment. Overnight on board.

Day 05 - Wednesday: Mandalay-Yangon

After an early breakfast, transfer to Mandalay airport for your onward flight to Yangon.

PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS

For reservations made more than 60 days prior to travel, a 15 % deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is due 55 days prior to travel.

All reservations made less than 55 days to travel must be paid in full at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION & ADMINISTRATION FEES

Administration fees are imposed for change of passenger's name, departure dates or cabin types.

Visa: A Valid visa is required to enter Myanmar for all the nationalities. Visa can be apply at the Myanmar Embassies in abroad All the tourist visas are valid for 28 days and cost avrage of USD 20. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from Myanmar. Pre-arranged visa on arrival could be arranged by Myanmar Tourex & take 14 working days to get the approval. Once we get the approval, we will send the copy by fax to clients as well as to the airline ground office to able for the client to get boarding pass. The visa fee is USD 20 and our service charge is USD5 per person.

Things to bring: Light clothes, slippers (please note that you have to take off your shoes at all the pagodas and temples in Myanmar when you enter the compound) and the medicines that you usually take for your health.

Health Precausion: Conditions in Yangon, Mandalay and Bagan are comparable to those in other parts of South East Asia. It is recommended that you contact your medical practitioner or travel specialist for advice on health preparations and requirements.

The ship carries a doctor on board. A small fee is charged for medical services and prescriptions.

Cabin luggage: When you plan your packing, please bear in mind that all luggage must be stored in your cabin. In each cabin there is a wardrobe with hangers.
Please note that there are no facilities available for storage of luggage not required during your cruise.

We suggest that you make arrangements to store excess baggage at your Bangkok hotel. Alternatively, passengers who are travelling via a Yangon hotel to and from the Road To Mandalay, may like to use storage facilities, if available, at their hotel.

Insurance: Clients should take out medical and travel insurance.

Direction to meeting point: A representative will meet you at the Yangon International Airport at arrival lounge holding a sign board under Myanmar Tourex with your name on it.
