Day-01 (04 or 15 Oct'08): Yangon Arrival (Lunch/ Dinner)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Meet and transfer to Hotel and check in. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, start orientation tour of Yangon visiting City Hall & Independence Monument; Botataung Pagoda - the landmark of Yangon waterfront, and Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda- a colossal reclining Buddha, and end of the tour at Shwedagon Pagoda - over 2500 years old the world famous stupa. Welcoming Dinner with cultural show at Karaweik Palace Restaurant, built in the style of Myanmar old days king's Royal Budge. Your first night is in Yangon.

Visa: A valid visa is required to enter Myanmar for all the nationalities. Visa can be apply at the Myanmar Embassies in abroad All the tourist visas are valid for 28 days and cost average of USD 20. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from Myanmar.

Things to bring: Light clothes, slippers (please note that you will have to take off your shoes at all the pagodas and temples in Myanmar when you enter the compound), a hat for the hot and winter season from November to May and a rain coat or umbrella for rainy season from Jun to October, and the medicines that you usually take for your health.
