Detail Itinerary
Day-01 (11 Oct'08): Yangon Arrival (Lunch/ Dinner)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Meet and transfer to Hotel and check in. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, start orientation tour of Yangon visiting City Hall & Independence Monument; Botataung Pagoda - the landmark of Yangon waterfront, and Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda- a colossal reclining Buddha, and end of the tour at Shwedagon Pagoda - over 2500 years old the world famous stupa. Welcoming Dinner with cultural show at Karaweik Palace Restaurant, built in the style of Myanmar old days king's Royal Budge. Your first night is in Yangon.


Day-02 (12 Oct'08): Yangon - Mandalay - Amarapura - Mandalay (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, fly to Mandalay by domestic flight. And then drive to Mandalay- a seat of culture and centre of religious learning. On the way visit to Amarapura, an ancient capital built by the advice of astrologers and Mahagandaryone Monastery, where one may observe the daily life of the monks studying Buddha's scriptures, U Bein’s Bridge- 1.2 km long over 200 years old wooden bridge; Silk weaving home cottage. Proceed to Mahamuni Image - a bronze Buddha Image casting the lifetime of Buddha Himself. Lunch at the local restaurant and proceed visiting to Mandalay Palace – the last Palace of the Myanmar Kingdom, Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite wood carving, Atumashi Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world biggest book. Evening visit to Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset scene and the panoramic view of the city. Dinner at a local restaurant, and day end in Mandalay.

Day-03 (13 Oct'08): Mandalay - Kyaukse (Dummy Elephants Dance Festival) (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, 30 miles drive to Kyaukse. On Kyaukse arrival, enjoying the Dummy Elephants festival – a dance competition celebrating on Thadingyut with artificial elephants constructed by bamboo, cloth, paper and as much gilt foil and glitter. After lunch, visit to Shwe Thein Taw Pagoda and drive back to Mandalay. Dinner and overnight in Mandalay.

Day-04 (14 Oct'08): Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) - Mandalay (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, drive to Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) – a popular hill-station, well-known for its colonial-style houses with large compound and pine trees, eucalyptus and silver-oak abound in town. On arrival Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo), sightseeing to National Kandawgyi Park (botanical garden) where various kinds of trees and multi colored flowers are in abundance, offering magnificent views. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Pwe-kauk waterfall. Then proceed to Peik-Chin-Myaung Cave - inside this natural cave, there are many springs with clear water running constantly and stalactites and stalagmites are in existence as well. One can see many Buddha images with different postures in the cave. One can take a new experience on horse-cart rides around the market place in downtown. After that drive back to Mandalay. Dinner and overnight in Mandalay.

Day-05 (15 Oct'08): Mandalay - Yangon (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

After breakfast, transfer to airport to go back Yangon. Meet and transfer to the hotel. On the way visit Loka Chantha Abhayalabhamuni Buddha Image (Marble Buddha) which is being carved from over 600 tons white marble rock of 37 feet long & Royal White Elephant. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit to Gems, Jade & Jewelley workshop, Kabaraye (World Peace) Pagoda, Boddha Tooth Relic Pagoda and Bogyoke Market. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.

Day-06 (16 Oct'08): Yangon Departure (Breakfast)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure.

Trip Requirements

Visa: A Valid visa is required to enter Myanmar for all the nationalities. Visa can be apply at the Myanmar Embassies in abroad All the tourist visas are valid for 28 days and cost avrage of USD 20. Passports must carry a validity of 6 months beyond intended date of departure from Myanmar.
For those who live in the places and countries where the Myanmar Embassies or Consulates are not located, we are able to help you get the pre-approval letter for visa on arrival if you buy the tour services from us. For pre-approval visa it will take about minimum 30 days. After we get the pre-approval letter will email to you with attached file then show this letter to your airline for boarding pass. Visa fee is USD 20 which has to pay directly to Yangon airport immigration and one of our staff will meet and assist you at the airport on arrival.

Things to bring: Light clothes, slippers (please note that you will be take off your shoes at all the pagodas and temples in Myanmar when you enter the compound), a hat for the hot and winter season from November to May and a rain coat or umbrella for rainy season from Jun to October, and the medicines that you usually take for your health.

Health Precausion: No special precausion is required.

Insurance: Clients should take out medical and travel insurance.

Direction to meeting point: A representative will meet you at the Yangon (or) Mandalay International Airport at arrival lounge holding Myanmar Tourex signboard with your name on it.
